University Recreation promotes quality, innovative and inclusive recreational programs, services and facilities that inspire healthy, active lifestyles such as aquatics, club and intramural sports, fitness, informal recreation and outdoor adventures.
Carmichael Complex is comprised of Carmichael Gym, Carmichael Recreation Center, Aquatics Center, Miller Field, as well as outdoor basketball and tennis courts. With over 350,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, Carmichael Complex includes 6 fitness centers, 11 multi-purpose sport courts, a 25yd and 50-meter Olympic-sized pools, 6 fitness studios, indoor climbing wall, racquetball courts, outdoor fields, outdoor basketball and tennis courts and much more.
A valid Wolfpack One Card is required for access to these facilities. University Recreation facilities, services and programs are available to all NC State students during the semester for which they are registered. Facility access is granted beginning the first day of classes and continuing until the day before classes begin the following semester. Students qualify for this access by paying the required activity and service fees as part of their tuition.
