The Outdoor Adventure program includes activities and instruction within
and around Carmichael Complex. The climbing wall is a place to learn the
basics of rock climbing or to get tips on advanced techniques. We host
different workshops and educational sessions to build upon current skills
or be exposed to something new. The adventure trip program reaches far
beyond the limits of NC State to give students an opportunity to
participate on a variety of outdoor trips. Some examples of trips include
rock climbing, canoeing, and backpacking. Outdoor Adventures also houses an
equipment rental center available for students to rent items at a very low
cost. If you are looking for a mode of transportation, the WolfWheels
bike-rental program through Outdoor Adventures offers a unique, innovative
approach to sustainable transportation at NC State University. All
students, faculty, and staff with a valid Wolfpack One Card are able to
rent bicycles on a daily, weekend, weekly or semester long basis. Outdoor
Adventures is committed to the development of leadership and life skills.
We provide a learning atmosphere that encourages personal growth, ethics,
teamwork, and environmental stewardship, while exploring new opportunities
that bring our diverse campus community together. Email: Phone: (919) 513-0072

Great Outdoor Provision Co. Supports DIVE Program

Great Outdoor
Provision Co. (GOP), a locally owned and independent retailer has stepped
up with a generous donation in support of the recent DIVE program, an
initiative with the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity. GOP is
helping outfit program participants with high quality
Merrell hiking boots on the trip during Spring Break. With
this generous donation, Outdoor Adventures is able to continue to offer a
quality experience for our participants. GOP has had a 40+ year history
with NC State University and has always been a huge supporter of Outdoor
Adventures and University Recreation as a whole. Located conveniently in
Cameron Village, GOP offers students and the University community a huge
variety of outdoor goods, clinics and workshops as well as resources for
students seeking local access. For more details, visit the website at
